Here at Wedding Belles we have been in business for nearly six years and we have had many future brides come through our doors over this time.
We concentrate on bridal accessories and gifts at our store and with our experience assisting brides with their bridal accessory choices we have the knack with guiding brides towards the correct bridal veil for them.
There are so many things to take into consideration when thinking about a bridal veil…the first one is whether to wear a veil or not and we don’t push brides with this but the one thing we do say is that there are only two times in your life when you get the chance to wear a veil:
1: On your communion day.
2: On you wedding day.
And this sums up the choices really. So if you are on the fence about it we think you should go for it. If it’s really not for you we get that and will outline some other options for you a little later on.
Once the decision is made to go with a bridal veil (YAY!!) then the next things to think about are what style your wedding dress is, what way you are wearing your hair and do you have a preference for a certain length veil. To give an example let’s say you have a very ornate wedding dress with sparkles, pearls, beading and even some lace and you want to wear your hair in an up-style…then in this case we would guide you towards a simple veil with either a raw (cut) edge or a veil with a sewn off edge or at a push one of our veils with the satin edging. Can you see where we are going with this…because your dress have so much detail going on we don’t want to take away from its fabulous-ness so a simple veil will add the perfect amount of flow without screaming fussiness. Whether you go for a chapel or cathedral length veil is up to you at this point and it will depend a lot on whether your dress has a train or not.
The point being it is like a bit of an equation choosing the right veil for you but the good news is we are on hand all day every day to assist you with making the right decision…we know what works!!
On that note I would invite you to contact Ellen at Wedding Belles with any questions regarding your accessory choices and she will be only too happy to help.
